A single roll of Kodak Ektachrome 64T Super 8 reversal film test, cross processed (x-processed) in colour negative chemicals (ECN-2). Filmed in London using a Canon 814XLS camera. Film rated / Exposure = normal & Development = normal. Note the film grain increase, whites burn-out (due to the emulsion now being 'base-less') as well as the increase in vivid colour saturation chroma(with a bias towards mostly greens & some extended magentas/yellows). All footage 18FPS (with some slo-mo 54FPS) & Single light/pass Flash-scan Telecine done at 18FPS to DVCAM tape.

Chucks LeMon's Race on 100D Ektachrome

Chucks LeMon's Race on 100D Ektachrome Tube. Duration : 14.92 Mins.

Part of the 2009 LeMons race that took place in Conn. This video documents Chuck Ghosio's involvement in the race. I filmed this on 100D Ektachrome Double super 8 on an Elmo Tri-filmatic. This conversion doesn't do the REAL film justice. It was a basic SD (standard def) transfer by film-to-video.com, the grain was kicked up alot and it was transfered at 30 frames per second instead of the 24FPS so it looks like it's in slow motion. It's a bit dark, but I can't really complain, I didn't complain to them or discuss how they could mabye improve the transfer. This was over exposed at 2 stops (It was bright and I had no ND filters), I asked the lab to pull it 2 stops. This is the only footage I've seen online that has 100D pull processed and it looked really good (before the transfer) with the colors really popping and no slight blue tint your always seeing this stock with.

Access to this area is just west outside of the town of Platoro, CO and a couple miles southwest of the Platoro Reservoir. BEST TIME OF YEAR TO HIKE THIS AREA IS JULY OR AUGUST! June may be too early for some because of the snow drifts which make the trails hard to find. An excellent high altitide backpacking adventure for the "Moderate" backpacker. So, you're getting rivers, lakes, creeks, trees, high peak summits, vistas, wildlife, and fishing!!
